Melissa Lynch, right front, LCPS’s Digital Learning Instructional Coordinator, works with school Digital Learning Specialists and members of the district’s IT team on Wednesday at Northeast Elementary School, the first of many stops for the group as they begin the process of deploying more than 4,000 new iPads to all elementary students and about a thousand iPads and MacBook Pros to all LCPS teachers and administrators. As planned, LCPS is “refreshing” its digital equipment after it’s been in use for three years. This phase of the project is expected to be completed by May 10. Middle and high school students are scheduled to receive new iPads in 2018.
