Business Partnerships

CSS _SpiritThe quality of our public schools determines in large measure the character of our community, both for people who live here and for those who assess Lenoir County from miles away. It is as inseparable a part of the fabric of this place as its topography or its history. To bind these natural ties, LCPS maintains a network of productive partnerships with industries, institutions and agencies that share our desire for improvement.

Industries like Spirit AeroSystems and organizations like the Lenoir County Manufacturers Association bring the expertise of highly skilled employees directly into our schools to support STEM education, our diverse Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, College-to-Career Pathways, our Project Lead the Way engineering curriculum and other career-oriented programs.

The Lenoir County Education Foundation, an arm of the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce, boosts public schools as a fundraiser and advocate.

Business and industry interested in getting involved with Lenoir County’s public schools are invited to contact Amy Jones, secondary education and CTE director, at 252-527-1109, Ext. 1071, or Jessica Shimer, career development coordinator, at 141-527-9184, Ext. 1399.
