Hearing screenings begin Aug. 30.
District-wide hearing screenings will take place on August 30, August 31, September 1 and September 5 for all 1st, 3rd and 5th grade students. If you do not want your child's hearing screened, you must notify your child's teacher in writing by Wednesday morning August 30. In an effort to conserve resources, parents will only be notified if their child does not pass the screening. All students who do not pass or who were absent on the screening day will receive a follow-up screening by the LCPS audiologist. If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Moore at 252-286-5822 or your child's school.
