Art Smart
The world is a beautiful place with wonderful colors, structures, and images. Students will create their very own artwork in this camp, and even learn some acting skills!

Camp Invention
Students will use teamwork, creativity, and hands on problem solving skills to create STEM projects that come to life. This is a hands on engineering and building camp.

Code It!
Do you have a great imagination? Do you like solving problems? Join us for a week of coding for beginners. You will use problem solving, logic, and basic coding to solve fun and interactive games.
Do you want to be a superhero? Do you want to build the next Minecraft mod? You will use your imagination in developing an interactive game.
Grades 3-5: July 22-25, 9 a.m.-noon

Dash & Dot Robotics
Dash & Dot are real robots that teach students to code while they play. Students learn to code while they make Dash sing, dance and navigate all around the classroom. Sensors on the robot mean they react to the environment around them, including our students. Due to its popularity, this camp is offered to the same grade levels in two separate sessions.

Dirt! It's What's for Dinner
Learn about soil and water drainage, seed germination, pollinations, composting, worms and more during our hands on learning camp. Learn about how we get our food from the dirt. Dig in soil and get your hands dirty. It’s sure to be a great time.

iSTEM, uSTEM, we all STEM
Students will benefit from additional exposure to common core standards learned in the current grade level and will benefit from knowledge they will need for the upcoming grade level. Camp days will be heavy with fun, hands-on activities and exposure to healthy lifestyle objectives. Students are encouraged to attend each week of iSTEM, as the content is different each week.
Grades K-5: All four weeks of camp, 1-4 p.m.

Make It Come Alive: 3D Printing
Have you ever dreamed of designing a new object? During this camp students will be able to create an object from their own imagination and then have it come alive! 3D printing is the newest technology and students will have the opportunity to try it out with their own creations.

Do you like fun competition? If so, come create your own games and compete with a team! Learn problem solving, teamwork, and competition skills.

NC Aviation Career Education (ACE) Camp
Students can learn about the theory of flight, aviation’s history, aircraft maintenance and new technologies. They will study aviation applications, principles of flight such as thrust and vectoring and aircraft construction. They also have the opportunity to fly unmanned aircraft systems (‘drones’), work on model aircraft design projects, take field trips to aviation industry businesses and, in some locations, fly in an airplane.
Grades 6-8 and 9-12: July 8-11*
*This camp is an all-day camp from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Off-site field trips will take place at the Kinston JetPort/NC Global TransPark

Robotastic Robotics
Robotics camp will focus on problem solving, failing, and the design process (pre-engineering step to solving problems). Student will compete in teams to conquer daily challenges using LEGO Mindstorms.
Grades 6-8: July 15-18, 9 a.m.-noon

Science Olympiad
Students will build and test structures based on Science Olympiad events. Events likely to be covered are tower building, ramp and roll, and 3,2,1 Blast Off!

Where would we be without plants that feed us and animals who feed the plants and us? Join us in learning about the cycles that make life on earth work for humans and get a chance to meet some of the critters who help keep the cycle going.
