Recruitment Bonus

LCPS offers the following one-time recruitment signing bonuses as an incentive to employment for teachers:

  • $4,500 for K-12 Exceptional Children's teacher and middle or secondary school Math or Science teacher with a clear North Carolina license who will be teaching in the areas in which they are licensed;
  • or $3,000 if otherwise licensed as a Media Coordinator, Guidance Counselor or a K-12 teacher with a clear North Carolina License who will be teaching in the areas in which they are licensed.


An additional $500 bonus for the following:

  • Exceptional Children teachers licensed in Special Education General and/or Adapted Curriculum with a clear North Carolina license in regular education English, Math, Science, or Social Studies who will be teaching in the areas in which they are licensed.
  • North Carolina Teaching Fellows
  • Lenoir County Public Schools Student Interns
  • Lenoir County Public Schools Graduates
