    Five LCPS students heading for NC Governor's School

    Chosen in competition for spots at NC Governor's School were Hannah Van (English), Elijah Heath (Natural Science) and Shamiah Hall (Natural Science) of Lenoir County Early College High School; Hayden Zeagler (Math) of South Lenoir High School; and Javiar Grady (Theater) of Kinston High School. The four-week program is scheduled to begin June 15.

    Early College students try on mantle of state leadership

    Thirteen students from Lenoir County Early College High School took on the role of state leaders this past weekend when they joined approximately 200 other North Carolina students in the NC Youth Legislative Assembly (YLA) in Raleigh.

    Students rack up honors in advancing to NC Science Fair

    Sixteen projects by LCPs students, eight each in the elementary and middle/high school divisions, won awards at the 20-county Region I Science and Engineering Fair and earned a spot in the NC Science Fair on March 25. In all, 26 students from 12 different schools will represent the district at the state finals.
