Parents' Bill of Rights: Opportunity to Comment

The Lenoir County Board of Education is in the process of reviewing a new LCPS policy that incorporates a Parents' Bill of Rights for their Child's Education. As part of the review process, the Board is soliciting comments from parents, teachers, administrators, and community partners on the Parents' Bill of Rights. To view the proposed Parents' Bill of Rights and to access the online comment tool, go to this page. We encourage stakeholder involvement in the development of the revisions to the Parental Involvement policy.  The proposed policy revisions will be reviewed by the Lenoir County Board of Education at its Monday, Sept. 11, meeting and again at its Monday, Oct. 2, meeting. Both meetings will be held at the Board of Education office at 2017 W. Vernon Ave., beginning at 6 p.m. Deadline for comments using this online tool is Oct. 2.
