NCSIS Parent Portal

NCSIS, powered by Infinite Campus

As of August 2025, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction has transitioned all school systems, including Lenoir County Public Schools, to a new student information system, NCSIS powered by Infinite Campus. The new NCSIS provides additional features to help you monitor your student's educational progress and a mobile-friendly experience that makes it easier to see everything on the go. Campus Parent, the Infinite Campus web portal and mobile app, gives parents and guardians real-time access to grades, attendance, assignments and schedules. The portal and app connect parent to teacher, teacher to student and student to parent. Scroll down to find step-by-step instructions to set up your Campus Parent account, along with helpful resources as you begin to use Infinite Campus.

Setting Up Your Infinite Campus Parent Portal

Part I: Getting your activation code 

The activation code is used to connect your student account to your students.  Unlike previous systems, you only need to register and get your code once for all of your students.  

  • Before you begin, you will need to know your students ID number, and other demographic data.  If you do not know your student's ID number, please contact the data manager at your student's school.
  • Visit this link for NCSIS registration.
  • Select Lenoir County Public Schools from the drop down menu.
  • Enter your student's ID number, their first name, last name, and date of birth and click "Find Student"
  • Select your Identity from the list of guardians.  
  • Select your preferred method to receive your access code.  If you have both an email and cell phone on file, you can select your preferred method.  Otherwise, you may be limited to the available option.  
  • The system will text or email you a verification code to the location you selected.  Enter the verification code and click on submit code. 
  • The system will display your account activation code.  This is the code that ties you to your household.  
  • Copy the Activation code
  • Click on the displayed link or go to https://540.ncsis.gov/parent 
  • Click on the New User link
  • Paste or type the account activation code and complete the remaining steps on setting up your account.  
  • Your account will link you to any students in your household.  

Part II: Accessing your account

You may access the parent portal by going to https://540.ncsis.gov/parent or by downloading the Campus Portal App  for iPhone and Android devices.
